Feasibility Studies

Zafarana 3, 120 MW windfarm, Egypt

The report for NREA/Danida “Zafarana 3, 120 MW Windfarm Feasibility Study, Egypt” from 2004 is included as an example of a best-practice feasibility study for windfarms. One will, inter alia, notice the use of the netback value for exported LNG as the reference price for the value of saved natural gas in Egyptian power plants.

Malé Diesel Power Plant, Maldives

The report for STELCO/Danida “Maldives Fourth Power Development Project. 24 MW Expansion of Malé Diesel Power Plant” was written together with Preben Jørgensen in 2006. It is included as an example of how to do a feasibility study for a conventional power plant, which is located in a very sensitive environment.

District Heating in Central and Eastern Europe

The World Bank/ESMAP report "Increasing the Efficiency of Heating Systems in Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union" written together with Anke Meyer in 1998 gives an overview over heating issues and options in Eastern Europe with specific emphasis on district heating.
